I get a dozen emails daily for refinancing home loans with no place to unsubscribe. How do I stop the emails?

This has been going on for over two months. I click the web site to apply to and still no place to unsubscribe. When i reply to remove me I’m told it can’t be forwarded and I’m tired of getting so many on a daily basis. Can I report this as it seems they should have a place to unsubscribe to?

The easiest way to get rid of those emails is to report them as spam to Yahoo or whatever email provider you’re using. You could risk getting a virus by going to their web sites.

There is no Internet version of the opt out program for snail male as of yet – that I know of. I have read that taking any action in response to a blind email will tend to increase the number you get. That gets you on a list of people who respond to emails. People sell those lists. I myself just delete them at once and take no other action. I have found that over time I get less. After I make an on line purchase I will for awhile get more of them. I assume that most places sell their customer lists.

Click "mark as spam" and they’ll go into your bulk folder. Then, just click "empty" on bulk. I don’t even look in my bulk any more, I get so many.

Also, on the ones that have "unsubscribe" links, when you click on that, it shows them that it’s an active email address, and you’ll be on lists that get sold to other spammers. It’s a vicious circle.

If you feel you must get them removed, reply, and in the subject box, type REMOVE and send it back.

    Good luck!
